Hong Kong Stock Market Midday Review

Futu News reported on October 28 that the three major Hong Kong stock indices showed mixed performance,$Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$up 0.02%, $Hang Seng TECH Index (800700.HK)$ up 0.02%, $Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (800100.HK)$ down 0.24%.
By the midday close, 783 stocks in the Hong Kong market had risen, 1,120 had fallen, and 1,303 remained unchanged.
Sector-wise, technology stocks weakened, with Xiaomi Group-W down 2.01%, NetEase-S down 1.30%, Meituan-W down 0.98%, and Tencent down 0.69%.
Most sports goods stocks declined, with Li Ning down 4.08%, China Dongxiang down 3.85%, Anta Sports down 3.36%, Xtep International down 1.41%, 361 Degrees down 1.30%, and TopSports down 1.25%.
Gold stocks declined, with Zijin Gold International dropping 3.53%, Zijin Mining falling 2.61%, Shandong Gold down 2.38%, and Lingbao Gold decreasing by 2.27%. Other decliners included Zhaojin Mining (-3.07%), Chifeng Gold (-2.93%), China Gold International (-2.92%), and Tongguan Gold (-2.92%).
Semiconductor stocks advanced, with Shanghai Fudan rising 4.32%, SMIC gaining 1.81%, and Hua Hong Semiconductor increasing by 3.18%.
Heavy infrastructure stocks fell, led by China State Construction International plunging 7.51%, followed by Metallurgical Corporation of China (-3.35%), China Aluminum International (-1.85%), China Railway Construction (-0.90%), and China Railway Group (-0.48%).
Pharmaceutical stocks broadly declined, with Hengrui Pharma dropping 4.70%, Hutchison China MediTech falling 1.02%, Innovent Bio down 0.75%, and 3SBio declining by 0.70%.
