Power Metallic delivers first Lion-style mineralisation

Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN) has delivered the first Lion-style mineralisation after receiving the final 11 drill results from the Lion Zone and Nisk East Zone in Québec, Canada.

At Nisk East, two holes targeted areas east of the Nisk deposit with drillhole PMN-25-004 hitting Lion-style mineralisation on the stratigraphic footwall to the ultramafic sill, like Lion’s location.

Drillhole PMN-25-004 intersected 258.25m @ 0.02g/t gold, 1.32g/t silver, 0.60% copper, 0.26% nickel, 0.24g/t palladium and 0.08g/t platinum from 247m.

Additional mineralisation extended into the ultramafic with nickel-copper Nisk-style sulphide mineralisation.

Meanwhile at the Lion Zone, two drillholes intersected substantial polymetallic zones, with grades returning 3.10 grams per tonne gold, 25.52g/t silver, 4.09% copper, 12.06g/t palladium, 2g/t platinum.

The company says the results indicate a potential shift to the west for the plunge of the high-grade portion of the Lion Zone. This plunge direction will be followed up by early drillholes in the Canadian spring and summer drilling campaign starting this month.

CEO Terry Lynch says the company is keen to get the suite of holes between Nisk and Lion and see just how connected the mineralised areas are.

Power Metallic is expanding its core facility for up to two drills turning. By the end of this month, production will be increased to four drills.

The initial drilling during the spring and summer campaign will focus on expanding the Lion Zone, with follow-up drilling beginning to explore the strike extensions of the favourable stratigraphy from the Lion and Nisk zones, including exploration along the Tiger trend.

The Nisk Project is a nickel-copper sulphide deposit with mineralisations for multiple battery metals including nickel, copper, cobalt, palladium, and platinum.
